Figma to increase subscription plans and pricing up to 33% in 2025

Starting March 11, 2025, Figma will implement changes to its subscription plans, notably increasing the price of the "Full" seat subscription by up to 33% at the first renewal after this date. This includes a rise from $16/month to $20/month for the "Full" seat in the Professional tier (likely the most popular among paying customers) and the introduction of a new "Dev" seat plan with access limited to Dev Mode for $12/month.

Figma is shifting to an admin-driven seat approval process, requiring admin consent for any seat upgrade that incurs additional costs, with temporary access granted for up to three days during approval. Seat management will be streamlined, with admins managing one seat per user across Figma products, and approved seats will be billed on a prorated basis.

The company is also introducing new seat categories—Full, Dev, Collab, and View—each with distinct roles and pricing. Additionally, all paid seats will include access to FigJam and Figma Slides. If this doesn’t seem enough to justify the price increase, you might want to take a look at alternatives like Penpot or Creatie.
