Microsoft unveils Edge Game Assist for Xbox Game Bar for in-game browsing while gaming

Microsoft has introduced Edge Game Assist, a new in-game browser overlay for Windows 11's Xbox Game Bar.

This feature allows gamers to access tips, guides, and resources without interrupting gameplay by using the Microsoft Edge browser. It syncs with users' Edge profiles for seamless access to cookies, autofill, and favorites without extra logins.

Currently, Game Assist supports mouse and keyboard input, with future updates expected to include handheld devices, gamepads, and a Compact Mode. Beta testers must set Microsoft Edge Beta 132 as their default browser and join the Game Assist preview via Edge’s settings.
