WhatsApp enhances channels feature with voice updates, polling, and increased admin limits
WhatsApp is introducing new features to its Channels feature, including the ability for Channel admins to send voice updates to followers, and a polling feature, allowing users to create single-choice limit polls, with voters' identities remaining anonymous.
The number of admins that can be added to a Channel is also being increased from one to 16, providing more flexibility in managing and moderating Channels. This can be done through the "Invite Admins" option on the channel description page. Users also can now share Channel updates on their WhatsApp Status to inform followers about the latest posts, improving visibility and reach.
These new features arrive just a few days after the company announced the introduction of a sticker maker/editor within the app for iOS. The stickers can be edited by adding text and shared with others.
