Teams will add support for Android Auto users in February for your Roadtrip meetings
Microsoft plans to extend Microsoft Teams features to Google's Android Auto platform in February, as per the Microsoft 365 Roadmap site. This development will allow Android Auto users to join Teams meetings directly from their calendar and access speed dial contacts and recent calls, with more details expected prior to the launch. Apple CarPlay users have had the ability to do this for some time now, allowing them to join meetings through the calendar view.
The functionality will also enable users to promptly dial their speed dial contacts and view recent calls on their Android phones. Just bear in mind that although the projected rollout date is set for February 2024 according to the roadmap, this is subject to change pending an official announcement from Microsoft.
The integration with Android Auto joins the recent changes implemented in the company for Teams, including OneDrive app files integration, new advanced search capabilities, or Microsoft Copilot Support. So, if you ever find yourself needing to crash a Teams meeting while driving, well you'll be able to do so, just like it's already possible with other alternatives like Zoom or Cisco Webex.

Can't wait for the car crashes this buggy app will cause, bug fixing in your car will never be a good idea, as much as team calls in a car isn't a good idea.
