Popular ad blocker uBlock Origin releases v1.52.0 with UI improvements and bug fixes

uBlock Origin, a widely-used ad blocking solution, has announced the release of its latest version, 1.52.0. This update includes a variety of scriplets enhancements, user interface improvements, and bug fixes, further refining the software's functionality and user experience.

The version 1.52.0 of the free and open source ad blocker is currently available for Chromium-based web browsers. However, the review process for Opera and Firefox is still underway. This is due to uBlock Origin's status as a recommended extension on Firefox, which necessitates a formal code review each time a new version is launched.

In addition, uBlock Origin has issued a warning regarding potential issues that may arise when importing profiles from Chrome. To resolve this, users may need to reinstall uBlock Origin on Edge. To prevent data loss during this process, users can save their settings to a file via the Dashboard, located at the bottom of the Settings tab.
