Solus 4.4 'Harmony' released with more hardware support and Linux Kernel 6.3

The independent Linux distribution, Solus, has unveiled its latest version 4.4, dubbed Harmony. This recent release brings to the table a slew of updates for the desktop environments, software stacks, and hardware enablement.

Underpinning the new release is the Linux kernel 6.3.8, which facilitates extensive hardware support. This includes Secure Boot support, compatibility with AMD Radeon RX 7600, 7900 XT, and 7900 XTX cards, Intel Arc cards, NVIDIA 40 series cards, among others, making it an inclusive choice for users with varying hardware specifications.

Solus 4.4 also addresses several issues found in Budgie, GNOME, KDE Plasma, and MATE. However, it's worth noting that the MATE edition is slated for deprecation. In its place, Solus plans to release an edition with Xfce for users seeking a simple, lightweight GTK-based desktop experience in the near future.
