Cron Calendar introduces Event Attachments and Notion Pages Integration
Notion has introduced a new feature for its recently acquired app, Cron Calendar, which allows users to easily access relevant documents and links at the start of meetings. The feature, called event attachments, enables organizers to add attachments in the "Docs and links" section of the right-hand context panel. Different types of links, such as Figma, Google Docs, Dropbox Paper, and of course, Notion, are treated differently to provide an integrated and visual experience. Notion users can connect their workspaces and attach Notion pages to events, while participants can search and select from their Notion workspace or create a new page directly from Cron.
Cron prompts participants to grant permissions for accessing attached pages they don't have access to yet in order to ensure privacy and security. Connected workspaces can be managed in the Settings Integrations Notion section.
In addition to the attachment feature, Cron has also made other improvements like displaying meeting rooms in the menu bar/system tray, availability status for filtering rooms and resources, opening ICS files on Windows, and attaching files when sending feedback. Of course, there are also some issues that have been addressed, such as occasional unnecessary email updates, incorrect scheduling links in the iOS app, and the RSVP footer in the iOS app for pinned teammate calendars.
