WingetUI 1.7.0 update: Improved software management for windows devices
WingetUI 1.7.0 is the latest update for the popular open-source application that simplifies the process of managing software programs on Windows devices. The update comes with several new features that make managing software programs even easier and more convenient.
One of the most significant additions to WingetUI 1.7.0 is the ability to skip specific versions of packages. This feature can be useful in avoiding problematic versions of applications. The Package Details page now has a new installation options dialog that allows users to install different versions of an application and customize the installation to their liking.
Administrators can now configure WingetUI to launch package managers with elevated rights automatically and cache administrator rights. The app's notification system has also been reworked, allowing notifications to be enabled or disabled by category, with notifications having buttons for quick action selecting.
WingetUI 1.7.0 supports several package managers, including Chocolatey, Scoop, and Winget, and displays the programs that they support in a long list in the Discover Packages tab. The app supports batch operations, allowing users to install, update, or remove several programs at once.
