NewPipe gets even better with content channels for this ad-free YouTube alternative

NewPipe, the well-known YouTube substitute for Android, has launched its 0.26 version almost five months succeeding its 0.25.2 release. This app, known for its ad-free and tracker-free video watching experience, has introduced interesting new features in this version.

The 0.26 version of NewPipe offers enhanced accessibility to content provided by various channels. These channels are organized into differing tabs, and their content can differ depending on the service. For instance, on YouTube, users can find distinct channels for regular videos, shorts, live streams, playlists, and more.

Another significant feature of NewPipe 0.26 is the option to select image quality from multiple versions. Users can choose from three different presets within the settings: low, medium, and high quality.

In addition to these new features, NewPipe 0.26 also introduces numerous improvements, refined localizations, and bug fixes. Shortly after the 0.26 release, the NewPipe team rolled out version 0.26.1. This update includes a fix for a crash that users experienced when opening a channel or conference.
