NewPipe 0.25.2 released with multiple audio tracks support and enhanced accessibility
NewPipe, the well-known ad-free YouTube client, has recently unveiled version 0.25.2, introducing a variety of new features and improvements.
The newly released version now supports multiple audio tracks in YouTube videos. A new drop-down menu has been incorporated into the player screen, allowing users to select their preferred audio track. In addition, a 'Content' setting has been introduced to consistently select descriptive audio, catering to accessibility-enabled users.
The update also includes a new ExoPlayer settings menu, designed to address ongoing player crashes. While users not experiencing issues may disregard this feature, those encountering player crashes are recommended to explore this menu.
The update brings good news for users who download videos from YouTube, as downloads are no longer throttled. This enhancement aims to resolve issues with downloads that slow significantly or halt entirely, necessitating numerous restarts.
Additional features in NewPipe 0.25.2 include customizable volume and brightness gestures, and an option to relocate the main page tabs to the bottom of the screen. The update also includes several minor improvements and bug fixes.
