Chrome Web Store gets a Material You design makeover
The Chrome Web Store has been revamped with a Material You design, similar to the Google Play Store. The new minimalist layout features a slider at the top for popular extensions and themes, an endless scroll replaces the previous sidebar for continuous content browsing, and a top navigation bar for better organization of extensions and themes.
Each item in the store now uses a modern card design with rounded corners, and the search bar has moved to the top right corner. Users can now filter search results by different criteria, such as all items, featured extensions, or established publishers. The store also introduces "Collections", which are curated bundles of extensions or themes chosen by Google to cater to specific user needs.
The layout of information on the store has been improved for better accessibility and understanding. Overviews, details, privacy information, and related items are now arranged in a column format. Users can sort search results by rating to find high-quality extensions and themes. You can now take a look at the newly updated store.
