TikTok introduces Direct Post for seamless video uploads from third-party platforms

TikTok has introduced Direct Post, a feature allowing creators to upload videos directly from third-party platforms via a content posting API. This service is currently accessible to users of Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Express, Twitch, and CapCut.

To use Direct Post, creators need to connect their TikTok account to the third-party platforms and undergo a vetting process. Once connected, they can set post preferences such as audience visibility and captions within the third-party app, eliminating separate adjustments on TikTok.

Direct Post also allows scheduling of long videos for future posts using social media management tools. TikTok intends to expand this feature to direct photo posting soon. The Direct Post API streamlines the content sharing process, allowing creators to post across multiple platforms without individually uploading and posting on TikTok.

"To use Direct Post, creators need to ... undergo a vetting process."

I understand restricting API access to select developers, but it's a bit strange that creators have to undergo a vetting process just to upload directly from creation tools' interface instead of TikTok's interface.
