But but wait... Microsoft is an evil racket only interested in profits and screwing the users, right?

I must say i do not understand this move. 1st: Microsoft have .NET's source code, WINE HQ doesn't 2nd: Wine cannot run most apps, or makes them ugly, so i do not trust them for microsoft-grade project management (even if i hate microsoft)

Well, if you use windows then you do not need wine. People who rely on Windows apps but are on linux have preferred using VMs or other machines. I know this i use an ipod and all apps except iTunes are not working, and Wine does not like to talk to my ipod. Same thing when i manage my "work phone": a nokia, my palm 505, and many many other things. If i would code wine, i would add obex, ipod, etc support first, and maybe not focus on wxWidget support...
