Deepl translates even better and GTranslate, might be a good alternative, in my opinion.
I've found Deepl incredibly useful. Thanks for contributing great suggestions.
Email: Promoting Protonmail is a false sense of security for those facing state-level scrutiny .. Protonmail handed over the details for a French housing activist after French officials laid an Interpol request against them.
That's just one example - of thousands.
As their transparency report shows, official requests for personal metadata has risen from a couple dozen in 2017 to more than 6,000 (!) last year.

Some questionable recommendations. Avoiding something just because it's from Google isn't a good way to be and can sometimes be harmful for privacy and security (e.g. you should only use Google Pixel phones because they properly support verified boot and use the custom Titan M2 chip).
Very good point that just because it's not google doesn't mean it's good!
True that. And presumably you can run emulators and so forth to bypass Google slurping data details.
Also Google services offer out-of-the-box anonymity via obscurity - just one of billions using Android. Or use super-duper privacy apps and operating systems to really make yourself stand out from the crowd.
