Daily Productivity

What apps have I been using for years for my daily production. No games!

  1. For many years I have been using this note manager and apart from that it doesn't have clouding functions it could be the best. Very useful however.

I have used keepass for more than 10 years and I can write that it is the best app for storing psw. It works with all operating systems even if with third party applications. If you start using it in the cloud you have to be a little geek to put everything right but ... it's free! Now I'm going through everything under LastPass which is really very comfortable. But, wait a minute, do you trust to put ALL your passwords (even the most important ones) in a remote place managed by people you don't even know? Let's all think about it ...

  3. Writing something about file managers is far from simple. One thing I saw after trying them ALL (I really used all those that exist for windows, I'm not exaggerating) is that to choose well you have to understand first what you really need or what is the type of personal computing you conduct. After using QDir for years, I changed and switched to Free Commander XE (the donor version). However, even the free version is fully recommended to all those who use the PC but without being advanced users and I love simplicity even if 'articulated';)

Filezilla FTP is the FTP tool par excellence. I purchased the pro version but also the free version is fine.

If you are looking for an app for fast but functional scans, stop here, naps2 is without a doubt the best freeware of its type. Try it and you will judge for yourself.

  7. I find this app to download mp3 from the internet the best, as I find it strange that here only has 2 points!? (2019). Graphically it is very smart but has dozens of options and allows you to operate in different ways much more than other similar apps. For example A very nice feature: it allows you to quickly save an image frame of the video from which you are downloading the audio so you can then apply it as an mpr3 tag. Really strange so few points for such a functional app.

  8. In 2019 I purchased several software licenses like never before. For more than 10 years for the massive management of images on windows I have always used 'XNview' with extreme satisfaction, recently I felt the need to try something new. After a few days of trial of the free version I bought the license and I'm satisfied. the learning curve is easy. Only note: some graphic icons are not graphically exhaustive to the function they perform but I admit it, I am a fussy one;)

In 2019 I purchased several software licenses like never before. Goodsync was one of the best purchases and it solved a ten-year problem of mine that I had partially fixed with 'freefilesync'. Now I can count on a solid and stable software that allows me to synchronize any folder or file between them. Understandable and functional options menu. However, it requires to be an advanced PC user and therefore not suitable for those who are new to IMHO. In this case I would recommend starting with one of the many synchronization freeware.

  10. I wanted at all costs, an editable graphic calendar that resides on the desktop of win 10. Vueminder does what it promises very well and it has been money well spent. The programming logic (dev language) of this app is a bit outdated but on win 10 it's still fine. only note is that sometimes you can not set the size of the calendar accurately to the millimeter, feature to be improved.

  11. In its category it is the best without a doubt. The only flaw: (2019) does not have the interface in Italian (which is my native language).

there would be a lot to write on this app but it is still better than the paid ones (!) it still has some flaws (2019) but it is very usable. I have used 'Ditto' for more than 10 years but it was too complex for my purposes. With CopyQ you also have a really nice graphical interface.
