tumblr is built on top of social interactions, reblogs, tags. bearblog is lacking social aspects.
Medium is heavily text-based with "stories". Free version only lets you read a limited number of stories per month, you have to pay to have unlimited access. However, it has no advertising.
Lack of social features. Each blog is a island.
Blogger is a full blogging site and not like Tumblr.
WordPress is for publishing articles, not microblogging.
Tumblr is for micro-blogging, and WordPress is for the more wordy articles. It's not very similar at all.
Upvoted a comment on Dooryreally respectable project. no account requirement or pay walls. the tools are a bit basic but considering it's new, i have hopes

It's nice there's a Obsidian clone that's open source now, but for those that want to avoid vibe coded apps, this is one of them FYI.
From their Github:
AI disclosure opensidian was built predominantly with AI models. Nearly all of the code, the design docs, and this README were written by Claude (Anthropic's models, via Claude Code) working from prompts, reviews, and corrections by a single human maintainer. The human decided what to build and what the trust model must guarantee, read and...
Liked DooryThis is bad for security and bad for actually having proper devs that understand what the code codes in the backend this is a /facepalm .
So basically, they want us to directly train their AI models by getting involved actively into that process and be rewarded with a nicer feed. Yep, I totally see this as a "genuine leap forward", forward a world were you give away your preferences and get meaningless thing in return. TLDR: Don't you ever trust Meta, or any Big Tech, with yoy data, no matter as "harmless" to share it with them may seem.
