Reviewed MuMuPlayerThe fastest, cleanest, and most optimized Android emulator I’ve ever used. It consumes so few resources and runs so smoothly that I still can’t believe it compared to others! If you’re looking for a stable, modern Android emulator for daily tasks, this is exactly what you need. Unfortunately, the aggressive marketing of Chinese emulators is so intense that even AI doesn’t list MuMu among the top candidates when we search for the stability and speed they promise but don’t deliver.
Reviewed v2rayNIt's simple to set up and control, but there are not so much automation features like Clash for Windows has.
Reviewed CivitaiIt's like a blend of SeaArt with NightCafe. But rewarding system requires more engagement than these two.
- Reviewed Godot Engine
When I felt crazy enough to start developing an indie game, I actively searched for a suitable engine. I had tried Unity, UE, and even experimented with exotic ones like GDevelop, GameMaker Studio, and O3DE, but I couldn't find the right balance of simplicity and power. I ignored Godot for a long time, considering it "incomplete" and complex for a solo developer. However, when I finally tried it, coinciding with the release of the revolutionary version 4, it changed me. Now it's my new...
Reviewed Battlestar Galactica DeadlockIncredibly exciting gameplay, you literally control every ship and its systems, as if it was a simulator. Dog fights, chase and complex maneuvers in true 3D space, and this is still a turn-based tactical game. And an excellent graphics will allow you to enjoy the accomplished exploits in cinematic replays. The game also offers rouge-lite mode Operation Anabasis, for those who want to truly test their command skills. The game very accurately reproduces the spirit of the 2004 series, all the...
- Reviewed Tuta Mail
Mail service, positioning itself as private, forbids the registration via VPN. Tutanota is blocked in some countries, it's even funny. Plus, they delete your accounts after 6 months of inactivity, DO NOT register anything on this mail to avoid losing access.
Reviewed DragToScrollWhen my graphical tablet with a multi-touch function broke down and new branded budget models didn't offer it as before, the question arises, how to scroll panels in some applications where standard scrollbars are not available, and generally preserve UX of scrolling. This program become a solution! Now I don’t know how I lived without it before, it’s even better than a wheel and multi-touch. If you use a pen, scrolling is literally at your fingertips. You can also adjust different behavior and...
Reviewed Ancient EnemyFor those who like Solitaire games and looking for something fresh in the genre. Despite the battle system, the game encourages effective card removal mostly.
Commented on PAXFULTrading with Payoneer and TransferWise accounts is supported.
Reviewed ProxAlliumIt's just GUI for Tor binaries. Good if you're using Tor as proxy for different browsers and software, and don't want to work with Tor.exe manually. At least, it's first alternative to Vidalia Tor I found.
Commented on The ROM DepotDoesn't work via Onion network, IP is always not whitelisted. So, when the site has been banned in your country, you should use VPN.
Reviewed Transport FeverGenerally, it's realistic Transport Tycoon Deluxe from 1850 instead 1925, and I will compare with it, because TF used it as a guideline and trying to recreate. But serious conses are there, which makes the gameplay different. But good finds are there too, I'll write about in the end of this review.
Torments of Road
Well, you should understand me in the right way, developers made efforts to make this game highly similar...
Commented on nPOPukNo proxy supporting.
- Commented on Proton Mail
No more captcha verification option. Therefore, no anonymity. User can verify account only with SMS, payment or email (one-time mail services not allowed).
- Commented on Around the situation with Disroot and similar cases.
I noticed that Disroot is often suggested as alternative to email services. I see a problem there.
Disroot isn't service in common means, but host for third-party open-source web-software. This way, email is Rainloop, social-network is Diaspora, messenger is Matrix, and so on. Therefore, if someone suggests Disroot as alternative to ProtonMail, for instance, then we should to say that Disroot is...
- Commented on Design bug after update (see screenshot below)
Reviewed LaragonVery convenient alternative to XAMPP for Windows. All configs in one place, and you can quickly review and change them from one place. Also Laragon can download and deploy apps via simple config file. Contains several portable tools, but it's overly in my opinion.
- Reviewed Affinity Designer
Pretty controversial
Should to say that it's fast as like as developers tells. But unlikely you will find a place for this software in your pipeline, if you're not artists and/or concept-designer, for some of which software doesn't matter, just because pixels are pixels always.
Below I will try to describe most critical problems you will meet in different cases of usage
- Lack of vector drawing features.
Affinity Designer **haven't any kind of vector brushes, complex...
Commented on PostCSSIs a mess at the moment. On other hand, there's good flexibility, what allows scale and customize rules for any taste. But it will not work smoothly with any OS and environment. Some plugins have different depending, sometimes it's more than Node.js. And as like as you can change workflow totally, it's would hard to understand and rebuild your code by developers from outside your team because you can change even syntax.
It's just different paradigm of CSS preprocessors. You...
Commented on Gihosoft TubeGetFreemium with limited functional for now. Old free version doesn't work.
- Reviewed Visual Studio Code
Suddenly, great and fast enough application from Microsoft! As Windows user, I have problems with integration auto-completion solutions in Vim. Visual Studio Code, with some extensions, allows bring almost full fundamental user experience (registers, macros, commands) of Vim and combine it with Windows integration.
Reviewed Nitro PDFIt's not "affordable Adobe Acrobat alternative" for printing, there's no preflight tools, Color separation preview, bleed/crop/trim marks editing and many more. And it doesn't work with PostScript of course.
Only tools for conversion, editing, authoring, optimization, and OCR. Looks and feels like PhantomPDF.
Reviewed Git ExtensionsLightweight Git wrapper. 3 version brings enhanced interface, some preview and tips inside modal windows may help to newbies and just save some time. But Differ is still puzzled, you should be very careful and look what panel highlight commit of interest.
Reviewed WhalebirdVery elegant desktop client for Mastadon, really, design is sexy as rock! Works with most instances, but not with everyone (seems, it's due outdated instances' software). So I still use Tooty to manage multiple accounts.
CONS:
- Too long switching between accounts.
- No proxy support, therefore it's hard to use without VPN software from some countries where some instances forbidden.
- Small bugs.
