The new update is swagged out, very good design refresh which is both pleasant to look at and easy to use :D

So a browser that is labeled as privacy-focused by its own creators didn't have E2EE by default. I'm so not shocked since it's a product that comes from Brave Software. I would rather use something like
Duck.ai , which is limited to a webpage that is sandboxed by the browser, than using an integrated part of the browser that has access to everything I do online. Also, for... - Downvoted a comment on Brave Leo adds encrypted AI chats with verifiable computing
To me and I'm sure many others, cloud based LLMs are essential for easy access to AI, so I'm all for companies trying to make it better.

Ai usage disclosure must be a standard.
"Together, they mark the next step on our scaling ladder and a major leap toward personal superintelligence." "Two models often have similar benchmark scores, yet one seems to handle a much wider range of unfamiliar tasks." "That’s what complaints of "benchmaxxing" and praise for "big model smell" both get at: a breadth of capability that popular benchmarks in a few domains can’t fully capture." "To quantify this mismatch, we investigate how performance on tasks targeted during post-training...

The king (X11) is dead, long live the king (Wayland). But seriously, Wayland is the future on Linux, as is more secure and private than X11. Here are some resons why dropping X11 is the right thing: https://community.kde.org/Plasma/X11_Known_Significant_Issues
So basically, they want us to directly train their AI models by getting involved actively into that process and be rewarded with a nicer feed. Yep, I totally see this as a "genuine leap forward", forward a world were you give away your preferences and get meaningless thing in return. TLDR: Don't you ever trust Meta, or any Big Tech, with yoy data, no matter as "harmless" to share it with them may seem.
Then, Android users can build and run AI slopwares without any developer account, but they will soon no longer be allowed to install F-Droid apps ? Their security measures are strange 🤔

Really nice, finally an app that will certainly just work! There have been alternatives but they were always buggy.

Upvoted a comment on Google Chrome as an alternative to Pale MoonNot an alternative at all. Only common thing is, they are both browsers. Similarity ends there.
Downvoted a comment on Pale MoonInsecure, behind upstream, lack modern standards. Short: one of worst browser
Downvoted a comment on Pale MoonPale Moon is based on extremely outdated Firefox code, lacks proper sandboxing with site isolation, and still uses XUL which was dropped from Firefox years ago as it was a huge security risk. Pale Moon is a security nightmare and one of the worst browsers for privacy. It's much saner to use Google Chrome and disable telemetry in the settings.

When will they add a feature to NOT block AI music / keep recommending AI music? Enforcing choices like this to users is not good.

Intelligence has always been what was missing in Artificial Intelligence. Great to see it's finally been added now.

Why do you want to get rid of JPEG and GIF files, please ?
- Downvoted a comment on Google ships JPEG XL image format support in latest Chrome 155 update
I'm really exited to see JXL now being adapted by Chrome. JPEG is an outdated Format (1992) and produces way too large files compared to JXL. But significant adoption in the Web will take at least 10 years -probably along with AVIF (which currently offers a more efficient compression) But the days of JPEG and WebP are numbered - Thank God.
