- Found this interesting: Google unveils Playground: an AI platform that lets anyone create games without coding
It's already been existing for many years now. It's called "Steam search", where you can find an infinite number of sloppy, broken and ugly games pretending to be AAA games, by entering only few words — no coding required.
so, they want to make soulless games now? i thought EA did that already

Microsoft: Our products are great, it's the user that are stupid, so let's redesign them once again to annoy the current users without getting new ones... It's the tenth redesign now, it evolved to a mess. why nobody still doesn't like our products?

This is one of those "solutions" that companies try to do first: "I will comply with your freaking regulations, but I will not make it really difficult for not-brain-dead people to circumvent it." Real problems will happen when regulators in some countries will feel it is not enough.
That "using automated account signals like account age and server participation" made me remember a follow up message by the Discord team after the backlash generated because the global age verification they anounced in february. Discord already has a general way to classify users based on the data they already have but came with a "fail safe" if that puts a user in the wrong category. I wonder how many kids will get their hands on parents cards to pay for registration as an adult account.
This is an old model. It was called Gaming Archades. You put a quarter, and you play the game until you lose. The only difference is that Microsoft will give you a few free hours a month.

Oh my god. Instead of chatting with your friends, you can have your AI bot chat with their AI bot. Now you don't have to deal with the annoyance of talking to the people in your life!

Smart. Avoiding lawsuits while providing service.

It's opt-in, so at least only stupid ones will use it.
- Found this interesting: Spotify to introduce AI Persona badges for artists with AI-generated identities
There is also a simple way to see if someone is AI on Spotify. A lot of accounts use some stock images as avatars on pageheaders. That's a perfect giveaway. The live artist wants to show his face or full body. He wants to be recognized and unique. AI wants to blend in and not attract too much attention to its identity. It uses something common, none-descript. Of course, a fully AI-generated avatar is a giveaway too.
