If you want the overlay feature : just use Rivatuner Statistics Server (RTSS). It's exactly what is behind Afterburner without all the other features
You want the fps limiter ? same as above.
You want to tweak your GPU ? choose better specialized software dedicated to your GPU brand (not graphic card manufacturer) For example, the stock one given by AMD with the driver is far better

Downvoted a comment on calibreusers don't understand why calibre is making a copy of the files and stupidly getting angry but alright. It's simple because if the software tried to keep track of files all around the filesystem it would be a nightmare to try and keep track of them: user manually renaming the files, moving them, deleting, etc it would only remain the metadata but file would be gone. Nearly perfect when you understand that advanced features are FFMPEG command line. So you have to RTFM of FFMPEG and not searching desperately in the "file converter" site. (yeah, I'm stupid. I've missed the hovering tooltip in the custom arguments)
Finally, the only weakness of "File converter" is his name that is too generic. (indexing problem and perhaps identity fraud)
