ZipScan information
What is ZipScan?
ZipScan is a document scanner for iPhone built around one idea: paper in, searchable PDF out, with zero friction. Open the app and the camera is already scanning — no home screen, no menus. Every scan is processed with on-device OCR (Apple's Vision framework) and saved as a PDF with an invisible text layer, so your documents are searchable in Files, Preview, or any PDF reader. A share sheet pops up the moment the scan is done.
Everything runs on-device and works offline (even in airplane mode). There is no account, no cloud upload, and no ads — the App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected."
Deep iOS integration: launch scanning from the Action Button, Lock Screen widget, iOS 18 Control Center control, Back Tap, Siri, Spotlight, or Shortcuts.
Pricing is deliberately simple: 10 free scans per month at full quality with no watermark, forever. Unlimited scanning is a $9.99 one-time purchase (a $1.99/month subscription is also available). No trials that silently convert, no watermark ransom.
