What is ZeroNet?
ZeroNet uses cryptography (Bitcoin library) and BitTorrent DHT (centralized trackers) to build a distributed censorship-resistant network.
Users can publish static or dynamic sites/applications into ZeroNet and visitors can choose to also serve the application/site. Sites /applications will remain on-line even if it is being served by only 1 peer.
When a site/app is updated by its owner, all nodes (including previous visitors) serving that site/app, will receive only the incremental updates done to the site content (and in real time).
Zeronet counts with a built-in SQLite database. This makes content-heavy site development easy. The database is also synced with hosting nodes with incremental updates.
It is based on Python and
JavaScript.

Comments and Reviews
Needs more websites and a search engine.
I just found out by dragging the 'Zero' button on the upper right corner to the left, and scrolling down, you can click on "DOWNLOAD AND HELP DISTRIBUTE ALL FILES".
Do you know Zirch Automated Search and Horizon? They are better search engines.
I really think distributed tech has potential, but the developers are kinda nuts. They let child *orn on there directory and many other weird things go on behind the scenes. I would understand why some people put those websites on there but why do the devs promote it?
The promotion is automatically done by robot according the number of star.
[Zeronet.dev] is an active fork of the original Zeronet.
If the link is not working, use: https://github.com/ZeroNetX/ZeroNet/ Also the list of ZeroNet forks is there: https://www.reddit.com/r/zeronet/comments/s27d34/0net_forks/
I know very little about the underlying framework of this thing. However, from what I could somewhat understand, ZeroNet appears to be useful in making decentralized websites. From first impressions alone, I like the concept. You might notice that your CPU usage goes up, but that's probably to be expected when everyone is contributing in hosting these websites. Maybe in the future when I learn more I will give a more in-depth review.
IPv6 not implemented yet, no great focus on scalability and shareability.
But ZeroNet works with MySQL/User login without relying on PHP, using just JavaScript or the optional CoffeeScript.
Project abandonned by its creator since the 20's.
Great application
I use Zeronet applications everyday , and I really enjoy it
It only needs a search engine on the cloud to be a complete network.
