YouCoded is a fully customizable AI assistant that becomes whatever you ask for. Ask in the chat for a control panel for your house, a page that tracks every account and bill, a game, a new feature, or a whole new look, and it builds it right inside the app. On Linux it can even customize the rest of your desktop.
It works on your files: attach a spreadsheet, document or folder and ask for what you want out of it. Results open beside the conversation where you can read and edit them. The desktop app edits Word, Excel and PowerPoint files directly and keeps a version history of every change the assistant makes.
Use whichever AI you like: Claude or ChatGPT on your own plan, hundreds of models through one OpenRouter account, or an open model running privately and offline on your own computer with the built-in engine. Switch mid-conversation.
It asks before it acts, and every standing permission is listed on one screen where you can revoke it. Conversations and files sync across Windows, macOS, Linux and Android, and any web browser can connect through remote access. There is a community marketplace for skills and themes, plus chess, Connect Four, Flappy Bird and 2048 to play while a long task runs.
Free and MIT-licensed. Built entirely through conversation with AI by someone who has never written code.
