What is Workout Planner?

Hey AlternativeTo 👋 I'm Chinmay, a student developer from India, and I built Workout Planner.

I started this project with the intent of making this free and online web app for the fitness freaks out there who just want a simple website for tracking their exercises and keeping up with the streaks.

The problem: most workout apps want an account, a subscription, or both before you do a single push-up. I wanted to open a page, pick exercises, and start.

What it does:

  • 143 gym, bodyweight and stretching exercises, filterable by muscle and equipment
  • Ready-made routines, plus save your own and share one with a link
  • A hands-free timer with a voice coach, round breaks and a back button
  • Streaks with "savers" that cover a missed day
  • Works offline, no sign-up, and your data stays on your device

It's built with plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript, no frameworks. The streak logic was much harder than I expected (time zones, daylight saving, missed days), and I wrote about it here: [link to your blog post]

I used an AI assistant for parts of the code and testing. [Keep this line if true.]

I'd love to know: what's the one thing that would make you switch from the workout app you use now? I read every comment. 🙏
