What is Wordspotting?
Wordspotting is a vocabulary app for people who already speak English but want to keep growing their vocabulary.
Instead of generic frequency lists, it builds your personal word list from the content you actually watch. Pick a show from the catalog, upload subtitles, or add a YouTube video. Wordspotting compares the text against the words you already know and surfaces the ones you don't, ranked by rarity and by how often they recur across your own sources.
Every word comes with the real sentence you met it in. Tap a word to see its meaning and a translation in your language, then sort it with one tap: Know or Learn. The words you choose to learn become flashcards, and spaced repetition brings each one back until it sticks.
A vocabulary score is always visible in the app, so you can watch your known-word count go up as you learn.
Importing, discovering, and reviewing are free and unlimited; the free plan covers about 50 new words a month.
