Its very pretty, but where's the pun?
I'm not sure why the developer described it that way either, but I guess it's because it refers to a music "player" (device) and also suggests the app is well-designed and functional (a skilled "player" in that sense) 🤷♂️
"for audiophiles" vs "for audio files"
Ahhh that makes more sense
Still doesn't qualify as a pun :D
Doesn't feel like the finished article yet nor does it seem to handle large collections very well. I have nearly 4.3K albums (55K tracks) and it takes ages to display my album list and when it finally does many of the album covers are low resolution. Also, I can't seem to find a way to display my collection other than by album title. Maybe other sort options exist but I can't find them. It will be a good audio player one day but it's not quite there yet.
The software looks really impressive, especially compared to (mostly?) all other Audio Players.
But as already noted, performance suffers - even to load ~1250-1500 audio files took quite a long time.
Honestly, i think this is a great app. I use it on linux and have encountered few issues (like 1). The interface is nice, which i do care about. The only missing feature is tag editing.
