What is WoodFireERD?

WoodFireERD reads a live SQL Server or Azure SQL schema, or a dacpac, and draws it as a diagram you grow outward from a table you choose — following foreign keys one hop at a time instead of rendering hundreds of boxes at once.

You can add and change columns, keys and relationships, and export a migration script to review and run yourself. The database connection is read-only and nothing is ever written to your schema, which is the main difference from the diagram designer built into SSMS, where the diagram itself lives in your database and edits are applied to it directly.

Runs in a browser on any operating system, or as a signed Windows desktop application. Free for schemas up to 25 objects, with no card required.
