    Miraheze is one of the only completely free AND ad-free wiki solutions, and it also allows Visual Editor!

    MediaWiki is server software that you would need to find a host for/run your own server whereas FANDOM does all the hosting for you and actually runs MediaWiki meaning it isn't really an alternative at all.
