Love this app! Originally tried it because it had a portable version that didn't need admin privileges, but I loved it so much that it's become my default serial terminal

What is WhippyTerm?

WhippyTerm is a modern GUI based terminal program. It was designed to have a modern UI and to run on modern OS's like Windows and Linux. It also has a number of unique features such as bookmarks, built in hex dumps, extending through plugins, and native support for binary protocols.

It is primarily aimed at embedded developers that need to talk to their devices using full hex dumps and sending of binary blocks. However it also support classic terminals with terminal emulations such as ANSI and VT100.

Supports for serial communication using serial ports (RS232, RS485, TTL UART), as well as TCP/IP, and UDP. Different communication types can be added by plugins extending WhippyTerm support for stream and block based protocols.
