Comment summary: WebDrive is praised for allowing users to map server connections as local drives, which is beneficial for accessing cloud services and facilitating file transfers. Many comments highlight its compatibility with SharePoint and WebDAV, support for multiple protocols, and easy setup. However, some users report issues like Explorer lagging during SFTP use, costly pricing, and complications with client certificate support. Technical support is generally seen as responsive and helpful.

SharePoint mappings are more intuitive than standard WebDAV. Also allows me to retire a number separate apps like OneDrive, DropBox etc and just use WebDrive. Product just works...and support is excellent.

$150 for one individual client is absolutely ludicrous

Product advertises client certificate support for WebDAV. This is not integrated properly into the operating system, instead you have to point at a private key file. This breaks integrated certificate management and smartcards.

WebDrive is a great tool in order to map our SharePoint libraries as a drive letter. It has helped me sell my department on the transition from a shared drive to SharePoint.

We have been testing WebDrive and it is fantastic. We are able to have our staff use their native MS office suite without having to upgrade to Office 365 suite. Very easy to use and support is excellent.

I needed a way of accessing my WebDAV shares better and to have them as mapped drives is great and saves a lot of time, I did look into built in drive mapping with the built in windows feature but it's not very good and does not save your password so I have to log in each time I reboot and even the workaround does not work.

I did a bit of research and found WebDrive which I found to be great, easy to setup and just works so i can get on with my work.

I would recommend anyone that works with WebDAV shares shos use.

What is WebDrive?

Unlike a typical file transfer client, WebDrive allows you to open and edit server-based files without the additional step of downloading the file. Using a simple wizard, you assign a network drive letter to any FTP, SFTP or WebDAV Servers. By connecting through a virtual drive, there is no need to learn a separate client interface. You access and edit files on the server the same way that you interact with files on your local PC. WebDrive can also map a drive letter to corporate SharePoint servers, as well as Amazon S3, Google Drive and DropBox.

WebDrive has caching to provide faster transfers and directory listing, an offline mode, as well as a simple backup and sync capability.
