What is WaitToUnlock?
WaitToUnlock is a companion website for Apple's built in Screen Time that solves its biggest weakness: you know the passcode.
Instead of asking a friend to set your Screen Time passcode, WaitToUnlock guides you through entering a randomly generated passcode in a way that prevents you from remembering it. The passcode is then encrypted and stored securely.
When you need to change your Screen Time settings, you request the passcode through the website and wait for a delay that you choose, from 6 hours up to 1 month. This waiting period helps break impulsive decisions to disable app limits or downtime.
Unlike traditional app blockers, WaitToUnlock doesn't require you to install anything or run in the background. It works alongside the Screen Time features already built into iOS, making them much harder to bypass while keeping you in control.
