Kaizen is a focus and study timer that combines a Pomodoro timer, an app blocker, a habit tracker, a to-do list and live study rooms in one app. It is free to use with no ads; a Premium subscription raises the free limits and adds extra features.
Timer: Pomodoro presets (25/5/15, 50/10/30 and more) or your own lengths, plus a stopwatch mode that counts up with no fixed end. Sessions keep running in the background, can be tagged (Study, Work, Reading and more) and feed daily, weekly and monthly statistics.
App blocker (iPhone, iPad and Android): blocks the apps you pick during focus sessions and opens them again on your breaks. On iPhone and iPad it uses Apple's Screen Time and can block websites too; on Android it uses Usage access, not an Accessibility service. An optional "Open anyway" button comes with a wait and a time limit you set.
Focus Rooms: virtual study rooms where you work alongside other people without a camera or microphone, shown as your avatar, with a live timer for everyone in the room. Join any room for free, or host a private room and invite up to 3 friends with a link to study together. With Premium you can host public or bigger rooms. Many people with ADHD use this kind of body doubling to get started and keep going.
Habits and tasks: check-off or timed habits with flexible schedules and forgiving streaks, and a task list with priorities, due dates, subtasks and reminders. A focus session can count toward a task or a habit.
Themes and focus music: dozens of backgrounds, including animated ones, and lo-fi, ambient, nature and white noise tracks saved for offline listening. Premium unlocks every theme and the full music library.
Tasks, habits and stats sync across iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows and the web.
