Viora information
What is Viora?
Viora is a voice AI assistant for macOS. You hold a shortcut and speak, and Viora writes clean text into the app you are using. It removes filler words, fixes punctuation and capitalization, and matches the tone of the app. The default key is Fn, and you can change it. There is also a separate shortcut that starts an agent task by voice.
Viora does more than dictation. You can select text and say how you want it changed, and Viora rewrites it in place. You can highlight something and ask about it. You can hold a key and drag to capture part of the screen, then ask about that area. This helps when the text cannot be selected.
You can also speak a task and let the built in agent handle it. The agent can run a web search, look up your calendar, and use connected apps. A small floating Capsule shows what Viora is doing, and an Agent Card shows answers and progress near your work.
Viora works with tools you already use. It connects to Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion, and Slack. It can also read context from Mac apps like Calendar, Reminders, Notes, Mail, Messages, Finder, Safari, and any text field, so you can act on what is in front of you without switching windows.
Viora learns your words and your style. You can add names and technical terms to a personal dictionary, and Viora can remember your preferences and habits. You can extend it with custom skills and Extensions, and when you repeat a request, Viora can suggest a new skill that you choose to keep.
Viora can help in meetings with live captions and a local recording on your Mac. It can reply out loud, not just in text. You can also search your past dictations and conversations, and pin, rename, or archive them.
Viora cares about privacy. It does not sell your data and does not use your voice or text to train models. A Privacy Mode reduces how much is stored for supported tasks. Viora is cloud assisted, so your audio and text are processed by managed cloud services and it is not fully offline.
Viora understands 100+ languages for speech input and runs on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. It is built for people who type a lot, like developers, writers, founders, product managers, support teams, and creators.
You may be comparing Mac voice tools. Viora is an alternative to dictation and voice apps like Wispr Flow, Superwhisper, Willow Voice, Aqua Voice, Typeless, Monologue, and the built in macOS Dictation. Some people also compare it with broader Mac AI assistants like Raycast, ChatGPT, and Claude. Viora keeps its own focus on a single hold to talk shortcut that can write, edit, ask, and run small tasks.
Core dictation with AI cleanup is free and unlimited. The Free plan costs nothing and needs no card. The Pro plan is $15 per month, billed monthly, and adds a stronger model, long term memory, faster voice replies, proactive suggestions, and skills that improve over time.
