What is Video Blackout?

Video Blackout is desktop video redaction software for Windows 10 and Windows 11. It detects faces and license plates on your computer, lets you draw manual boxes for badges, screens, or other identifiers, and mark audio ranges to mute or beep. Export writes a new H.264 MP4 with mosaic, blur, or solid fill burned into the frames. The original file is never modified, and footage is not uploaded to the cloud.

After install and license activation, you can work offline. Free mode includes a watermark and length limits. Paid plans remove the watermark and unlock longer videos, batch processing, and extra devices.

Built for bodycam review, CCTV, FOIA releases, GDPR and DSAR responses, and any workflow where sensitive video must stay on the machine.
