Alternatives to UTAU for all platforms with any license

  • Synthesizer V

Synthesizer V is a vocal synthesizer developed by Kanru Hua, aiming for "artistic perfection of artificial voices".

    • It has a perpetual free trial, the engine/resampler is on par with Vocaloid's quality, and it's easy to use - you don't have to learn about a lot of technical things like you do with UTAU. As of April 2019, it now supports English, Japanese and Chinese. KyuTurtleApr 2019 Disagree   Agree
    • it produces very nice English Vocals, it has a bit of a learning curve. It is better if you want English vocals but as of November 2, 2018 there aren't any Japanese vocals or any other languages. Guest • Nov 2018 • 0 agrees and 1 disagrees Disagree   Agree

  • Cadencii

Cadencii is a program that allows cross-importation of vocal MIDI, VSQ, UST, and VSQX files. It supports both UTAU and Vocaloid voice banks.

    • Discontinued
The program is no longer updated. Last version, 3.4.1, released in August 2011, can be still downloaded from the official website.
    • It supports Vocaloid voicebanks as well as UTAU ones already making it a better alternative. It also has the Vocaloid 2 interface which makes it easier to use. If you want an easier interface to use your UTAU on, this is one. The only downside is that it has a bit of an obnoxious metallic noise for some voicebanks. Guest • Sep 2019 Disagree   Agree
