Tv-Remote

TV Remote turns your phone, computer or any browser into a complete remote and control center for Android TV / Google TV. It talks to the TV directly over your Wi-Fi (or Tailscale when you are away from home). There is no server in between, no account and no tracking.

Remote and screen

• Full remote: D-pad, volume, channels, number keys, typing, voice commands, touchpad and air mouse (the phone's gyroscope as a pointer)
• Infrared remote using the phone's IR blaster, with codes for many brands
• See the TV's picture on your phone or computer with sound, and tap or click on it to control the TV
• Floating picture-in-picture while you use the rest of the app

Manage the TV

• Install, remove, open and stop apps; browse and transfer files
• Optimize TV: turn off the maker's ads, trackers and auto-installers in one tap, fully undoable

• Sleep timer, bedtime and app limits that run on the TV itself, so they keep working with the phone off

• TV Home: a light, ad-free launcher you set up from your phone (favourite apps, hidden apps, wallpaper, clock, weather and calendar widgets)

• TV Games: retro and web games with phones as controllers; scan a QR code to join

Available as an Android app, a desktop app for Windows, macOS and Linux, and a web page served by the TV that works in any browser, including on iPhone. Free and open source (MIT). No root needed.
