What is TgCloud?

TgCloud is an open-source, self-hosted image hosting platform that uses Telegram channels as its storage backend.

Instead of relying on traditional object storage solutions such as Amazon S3, Cloudflare R2, or local file systems, TgCloud uploads images to a Telegram channel through the Telegram Bot API and uses Telegram file IDs to retrieve and serve them later.

Designed for developers, hobbyists, and self-hosting enthusiasts, TgCloud provides a lightweight way to host and manage images without maintaining a database or a dedicated storage infrastructure.

Features

  • Upload images through a web interface
  • Upload images via API
  • Upload images directly from a URL
  • Serve images through permanent links
  • Supports JPEG, PNG, GIF, and WebP formats
  • No database required
  • Self-hosted and open source
  • Lightweight Go backend
  • Telegram-powered storage

Use Cases :

  • Personal image hosting
  • Side projects and prototypes
  • Website assets
