Very simple to use. Enable to capture almost any text on the screen from any app. 5 Mo of ram, O% processor. 1 Mo of space disk. A must.

This is fairly useful for some applications and OS dialogs, but it simply doesn't work for too many windows. For example, I was trying to copy a long list of command line options out of an installer help dialog just now, and it failed to activate at all.

On top of that, I never could get Textify to save the shortcut combo I decided on for it, and there's no Win key modifier option, either; just Ctrl, Alt, Shift.

What is Textify?

Have you ever wanted to copy some text from a dialog box which doesn’t provide such functionality? Textify was created to solve this problem: you can point your mouse over the text, click on the mouse shortcut (Shift + Middle click by default), and get a selectable view of the text.
