What is Tether Mobile?

Tether Mobile gives you a phone number in the US, Canada, the UK or the Netherlands and forwards the texts it receives to Email, Telegram, LINE or Discord. Verification codes and alerts reach you wherever you are, without a SIM card or roaming.

US numbers are real mobile numbers rather than VoIP numbers, which matters for services that refuse to text VoIP numbers. You can also move an existing US number to Tether Mobile for free.

Each text can go to up to three destinations at once and shows the sender and the number that received it.

It is built for travellers, digital nomads and people who have moved abroad but still get texts from banks, tax authorities, healthcare portals and other services back home, and for anyone who wants a separate number for sign-ups.

Plans start at $10/month for a Canadian number or $15/month for a US, UK or Netherlands number, with 50 texts a month included. Larger allowances are available. Annual billing gets one month free. No setup fees or contracts.

Personal plans receive texts only: no outgoing texts, calls or mobile data.

For teams, Tether Mobile for Business can send texts to Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord or a shared inbox, or into your own systems through signed webhooks, an API, Zapier, Make, n8n or MCP for AI agents. Business plans can reply and send from the number, and can keep a number the team already uses. Pricing depends on numbers, volume and integrations, and is quoted on request.
