They aren't transparent about their releases or the way the work on any possible way and the project has stopped receiving updates since early the 2nd half of 2023.

It's yet another Chromium based web browser that obviously cannot compete against Brave.

Cons: Proprietary. Uses different base technologies on desktop and Android which is weird. No cross device sync. No ad blocker in Android version. Relatively unknown developer. Hard to find technical reviews online.

Pros: Attractive desktop design. Widget for weather on start page with the possibility to add more. Better privacy than Chrome. The default search engine is effective and advertises itself as private. Built-in ad blocker.

Bottom line for me is that I want to like this. I want a Brave alternative that doesn't have the crypto stuff. This doesn't live up to that... yet. I also am having a hard time trusting the browser since I've seen so little coverage of it. Is any marketing being done by the company? If it isn't, what is the business plan? How long will it even be around?

They are using Bing as a sub-processor. The keyword you type will show the related Bings Ads (like Google Adsense), so no data or queries are kept on Tempest.
