What is Tasksmart?
Tasksmart is a minimal task and note manager built for individuals — not teams. It's for people who want a single, fast place to capture what's in their head without learning a project-management system first.
Instead of folders, boards, and assignees, Tasksmart works with plain text you type naturally:
• Hashtags organize your items. Drop #JohnSmith or #kitchenreno anywhere in an item's text and it's filed under that tag automatically. An item can belong to as many tags as you like — no separate tag-picker, no dropdowns.
• @-reminders schedule your items. Type @7/15/2026 for a one-time date, @mon for every Monday, @1 for the first of each month, @mon2 for the second Monday, or @7/15/2026+14 to repeat every two weeks.
• Notes, tasks, and reminders live in one stream. Every item can be a quick note, a to-do, or a recurring reminder — you decide. Mark items Important, and move them through statuses (Not Started ? Started ? Completed) only when you want to.
The interface is a familiar two-pane layout: your list on the left, the selected item's details on the right. As you type a hashtag, Tasksmart suggests your most recently-used matching tags inline. Filter by tag, search across everything, or view your reminders in a monthly calendar.
Tasksmart runs in any browser, syncs in real time across your phone and computer, and installs to your home screen as an app. It's free, and you can export all your data as JSON anytime — no lock-in.
If Todoist, Notion, or your team's project tool feels like overkill for managing your own work, Tasksmart is the stripped-down alternative: one person, one list, one place to think.
