Eerily fast possibilities are given for visualisation, but not for design. Very convenient user-friendlies, but using them for batch processing is a terrible thing. The possibility of templates in itself cools down, it vytykets from the possibilities of building the dashboards themselves, but it is not enough.
The presence of ecosystem in which it is possible to create a convenient process in general, as well as accesses and collaboration, as well as the preparation of data through Tableau Prep is a pleasant solution.
It's not bad for students as the versions are not cut, but it's true that you can only access Tableau Desktop, Prep, Public. There is no need to pay, and it is an easy way to get started in data analytics.
Years ago I've purchased as small business a Tableau Desktop Professional license for almost 2000 USD.
That time I thought it was a good investment.
Before the purchase I've asked for the annual software-update prices as this is a critical factor if you have a small business but lots of software licenses.
In the next 3 years they raised their prices from yearly 150 EUR to a 250 EUR, but released almost ZERO updates ( just one small update per year ).
After 3 years I had no money to buy an expensive update and the support contacted me via Email.
I told them I need to stop the software renewals for a certain time.
They given me a trial for 2 or 3 month to buy it ... it wasn't possible for me that time.
Tableau answered, if I stop buying JUST 1 renewal - I can buy the full license again 2000 USD, if I want an update at a later time.
I'm done with these gangsters! As it's not possible to get an update anymore, you can forget about the money you've wasted.
DON'T STEP INTO THIS TRAP - THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY and shit on you if you don't pay and pay and pay and pay ...
Go and visit their website, check yourself if I'm telling you the truth.
Pretty nice for making statistics about tests
Not Freemium (may have been previously). It has a 14 day trial afterwhich it has a monthly subscription which is billed annually.
Tableau is an excellent program for those people who enjoy working with data and statistics. It also allows you to organize the information properly, and then analyze it step by step.
The information that is graphed in this program can be used for a work or business presentation.
This program can be linked to Microsoft Excel or Google Sheet, which helps you store information that will be used as a database in Tableau.
Another very good thing is that it is 100% free. You do not have to pay anything and all the information you register will be organized and stored in the cloud, that is, Tableau servers
I have coworkers who do not like the information to be completely hosted in the cloud. They also do not like that the privacy measures of this software do not allow them to have 100 privacy. All data is accessible through the internet.
100% free but I have to share my personal information with everyone? These are my personal finances, I am not sharing this data. Would be nice if there was a 100% free version for home users, maybe restricted to a certain number of records of data or something to prevent abuse of free versions but no way am I using this for free and everyone gets to see my finances.
has interesting public examples
