POX added Tablacus Explorer as alternative to CoverFlowFinder- hishiryo reviewed Tablacus Explorer
It's literally THE file explorer, it's just perfect, a demential beast: it's insanely lightweight, fast and responsive, though user-friendly and easily installable too, it does natively support tabbing, plus an absolutely perfect multipaneling system up to 12 panels through extensions, with the potential to add even more if you script them, plus it does have more than one hundred native addons that are insanely lightweight and efficient too, plus it does have compatibility with all of Total...

At the next boot of Windows, all your tabs are still there, which is not the case with Windows Explorer on Windows 11, at least in the case of my installation. Many plug-ins available, but it would be better, if dark mode and such were built in directly, in my opinion. The configuration options allow you to tailor the applications to your own needs to a large extent. Conclusion: A good replacement for the original Microsoft Explorer.

Exactly what I was looking for. Lightweight, open-source, fast, and customizable.
Has over a hundred add-ons, such as dark mode, split screen, speed dial, etc.
It is portable and bare bones is under 1mb. With the add-ons I need, it is under 2mb. Much faster and better than Windows Explorer, and you can completely firewall it and inspect the code.
Not User Friendly

I'm just hoping this absolute god of the file explorers gets to Linux too.
Actually, I'm quite satisfied with the file managers under Linux, my favorite is Thunar, but there are so many more like Nemo, Nautilus, Files, Caja, to name a few. But in my opinion, there are not too many really good explorers for Windows, and Tablacus is much better than all the so-called commanders I tried out.
Sir, you are THE MAN! Been using Explorer ++ for 3 yrs and all the sudden Windows updated and it won't even open. Which left me in a pickle bc my work requires me to bop back and forth between folders, some with detailed view, some with thumbs. A must for those that do serious work on their PCs as apposed to the cute, pretty crap that's out there.
Perfect replacement for Windows Explorer
The tabbed approach seems nice, though I was really looking for the WinMerge feature. This program has it, but it behaves badly for what I consider a standard and simplistic process. Good if you need to pick apart files maybe, but fails to do a simple combine. Fortunately, and uniquely, it creates .bak files
