What is Super Voice Mode?
Super Voice Mode is an AI voice assistant and dictation app for Mac systems. Users can dictate in any application by holding the Right Option key, which then inputs the spoken text at the cursor's location. The software includes multiple AI characters powered by Parakeet and Whisper speech recognition technology. All speech recognition processes occur on-device for enhanced privacy.
To activate the dictation function, users hold the Right Option key, speak, and then release the key. The dictated text then appears at the cursor's location. Super Voice Mode also has an AI Writing function that allows users to instruct the AI on what to write. If text is highlighted, using the Right Option key prompts the AI to engage in a dialogue instead of replacing the text.
The software also features a Live Transcription feature, activated by double-tapping the dictation key. This allows for extended hands-free sessions and provides live subtitles. Super Voice Mode is not a chatbot or a search box, but a full AI assistant designed to facilitate tasks. Users can ask questions, receive answers, and perform tasks verbally without typing or switching contexts.
