It runs Whisper large-v3-turbo 100% on-device on the Apple Neural Engine, so your voice never leaves your Mac and it works fully offline. It auto-detects 29 languages and adds punctuation automatically. No subscription is required (a one-time lifetime purchase is available), and no audio is ever sent to a server.
