Comment summary: Users appreciate Super Productivity for its simplicity, feature richness, and open-source nature. It supports integration, multi-platform compatibility, and is not overloaded with unnecessary features. However, there's a minor issue with Webdav support and a desire for an API for ActivityWatch integration. Many express gratitude for its free availability, though a few mention its interface could improve.

I think this is a pretty great simple app that makes it easy to make tasks and to time how long you work on those tasks. At it's core, this is what it does very well.

It focuses on a day management sort of system, where you put in tasks that you want to complete for the day. But you don't have to use it this way.

I like especially how I can:

  • assign things to projects, which is helpful for time tracking for larger projects
  • Tasks that I was due to complete linger, so I can figure out how to schedule them
  • Tasks that are in my backlog are tucked away, and I can schedule when to see them

Overall, I think it's just fast and neat and does the task very well. I'd strongly encourage you to try it out.

What is Super Productivity?

Super Productivity is a multi-platform software application designed for task management, time tracking, and personal project management on Linux, MacOS and Windows operating systems. The software is equipped with features to help users plan, track, and summarize their work, allowing the generation of time sheets and work summaries for easy exportation to other time tracking systems.

Super Productivity integrates seamlessly with Jira, Github, and Gitlab, offering automatic importation of tasks assigned to the user. It allows local planning of task details, automatic creation of worklogs, and immediate notifications of any changes. The software also provides tools for organizing project data, including the creation of notes, file attachments, and bookmarks for links, files, and commands, all of which can be conveniently tucked away when not in use.

The application also promotes healthy work habits, with a built-in break timer to remind users when it's time to take a breather. Users can collect personal metrics to analyze and adjust their work routines as needed. For those struggling with procrastination, Super Productivity offers an anti-procrastination feature to reconsider work options, along with a pomodoro timer. Notably, Super Productivity does not collect any user data and requires no user accounts or registration. It is a free and open source software.
