What is Steward IT Census?

Steward IT Census discovers and inventories every computer, server, printer, switch, phone and camera on your network. It runs as one program on your own Windows or Linux server with a built-in database, so your asset data never leaves your network, and license activation works offline.

Agentless scanning (WinRM, SSH, SNMP) covers the office network with nothing installed. An optional agent covers laptops and remote sites. Every edition includes:

  • Vulnerabilities from Microsoft, Debian, Ubuntu, Red Hat and the NVD, with CISA's actively exploited list first
  • About 470 compliance checks based on DISA STIGs, Microsoft baselines and NIST mSCP
  • Software deployment and scripts, now or on a schedule
  • A help desk with tickets linked to assets, a user portal and SLAs
  • A network map from LLDP/CDP, with the switch port of every computer
  • Free Let's Encrypt SSL certificates installed and renewed on IIS, Exchange, RDS, SQL Server, nginx, Apache and more
  • REST API, webhooks, syslog/CEF and Splunk

Free up to 50 assets with every feature and no time limit. Beyond that, a perpetual license costs $1 per asset, once, with optional update renewal.
