Simulink Alternatives

Simulink is described as '® is a block diagram environment for multidomain simulation and Model-Based Design. It supports simulation, automatic code generation, and continuous test and verification of embedded systems'. There are more than 25 alternatives to Simulink for a variety of platforms, including Windows, Linux, Mac, the Web and Chrome OS. The best alternative is Circuit Simulator, which is both free and Open Source. Other great apps like Simulink are Xcos (Free, Open Source), OpenModelica (Free, Open Source), GNU Radio (Free, Open Source) and Minsky (Free, Open Source).

      Altair Activate vs Simulink
      pros, cons and recent comments
Altair Activate is able to import .mdl and .slx files developed at simulink, this feature help to migrate from simulink to Activate. For now I believe this is the first software able to do that.
