This platform is a ponzi scheme. Even the most basic features, are often locked behind paid apps. Some of which you can't even install without paying for the Plus plan.
For instance, while you can "import" customers, that would actually be a disservice to them as they will not be able to log in without being "activated", and the only way to do that is with the first party Shopify Bulk Activator app, which requires the Plus plan.
You'll run into the same issues with the products, gift messages, discount codes, member pages etc. It's a never ending roller coaster of upsells and halfway solutions in the name of, something. Give Squarespace premium a try, or if you can afford it, Magento, it's surprisingly secure in my experience.

Not great in the uk. Tax doesn’t work correctly and it’s far too basic to run a real business. Moved to Shopblocks last year which is uk based and seems to be more feature rich
