SAM Broadcaster is simply the best solution for anyone looking to start an Internet radio station. It's the only one that does everything (media library, sound processing, scheduling/automation, encoding, etc.). SAM as been around since early 2000 (I'm using it since 2008) and it's by far the most popular solution on the planet. Because of that, it's easy to have help, find tips and tricks and get the most out of it. Their support team is fantastic (haven't always be the case though).
In SAM Broadcaster 2013, they did a great update by allowing people to use the SAM VIBE web widgets (and by the way, SAM VIBE is another gem developed by Spacial Audio, the same company that publishes SAM Broadcaster). This is an easy solution to embed your radio station now playing info, recently played songs, request module, etc. If you are like me and don't know how to code, you just have to pasted a line of code within your Wordpress or Joomla CMS (I assume it's the same with other CMS, but these are the two I use). My website look like an expensive one without the hassle and the cost.
Possibly the Worst piece of automation software ever released. Known Bugs from Version 2 still not Fixed or addressed in the 4.x.x versions.
Constant freezing Crashing of this program means its NOT worth forking the Money out for. How they get away with Fleecing people for money for SAM broadcaster is beyond me, Its just made up from reworked Winamp plugins.
Also from a Coders point of view its a nightmare to Code a website from the SQL databases.
A must to Avoid.
DO NOT use this service. They have no regard to their users. They deleted my station 3 times for non payment, which they blocked my billing, therefore I was unable to change my card on file. Hours of programming my station 3 times just DELETED without a care in the world. Their customer service team is NO HELP!!! NO ONE seems to care about helping you retrieve all the work you put into your station. Once they completey delete your station theyclaim.to have no way to get it back, proving that all your hard work is simply DISPOSABLE to them. All they want is your money. On top of deleting my station, they continued to accept a payment from an email invoice they sent me, which was sent regarding the same account they claim had been deleted. Spacial/Sam broadcaster has been THE WORSE experience since using their software. DON'T spend your hard earned money with s company that has no regard for the work you put into your station. Find another software company to use. These people are absolutely THE WORSE!!!!
